The SAM Implementation Group (SAM/IG), supported by Project RLA/06/901, aims to develop and implement Global Air Navigation Plan (GANP) initiatives in the SAM Region, leading to the transition from air traffic management and air navigation system based on ground-based infrastructure and systems to PBN performance-based air navigation, as well as other operational elements of improvement, with a view to strengthening the regional and interregional interoperable environment. Operational safety is addressed, within the scope of the indicators stipulated for the corresponding PBNP key performance area.
OACI strategic objectives:
Planning and implementation meeting. It is necessary to provide continuity and monitor the implementation of the Regional Air Navigation Plan (R-ANP) within the framework of the ASBU GANP, as well as the regional ATM/CNS initiatives. Promote the National Air Navigation Plans (N-ANP).
This event is held every six months and is aimed at planners of air navigation services (AGA, AIM, ATFM, ATM/SAR, CNS and MET) of the States of the SAM Region, representatives of organizations related to civil aviation and representatives of the aeronautical industry.
The event allows for analysis, as well as communication and coordination between State and industry representatives, for collaborative decision making regarding the planning and implementation of ATM/CNS improvements aimed at the development of regional and interregional PBN, as well as other operational elements of the GANP.
